Brewster Friends Church is committed to impacting the surrounding community in a positive way.
We are always looking for ways to share the love and grace of Jesus Christ by meeting the needs of those who are hungry, hurting, broken, addicted, or lost.
Our doors are always open to find ways to help anyone who needs it.
Check out all of our partners in the community here!
Brewster Friends is proud to host the local meeting of Alcoholics Anonymous. The group meets every Saturday evening and begins gathering at 6pm.
BFC is proud to be home for the area's first Al-Anon group, a support group for the families of alcoholics and addicts. This group meets on Thursday evenings starting at 5:45 in the basement classroom portion of the church.
Brewster Friends is a proud partner of Fairless Helping Fairless, a committee of the Fairless Alumni Association. Fairless Helping Fairless works to bring the community together to impact the greatest needs within the Fairless community. Their programs include an emergency clothing and toiletry closet, the Back to School Day school supply giveaway, financial education, and more. As a new organization in the community, Brewster Friends is committed to partnering with Fairless Helping Fairless to broaden our impact on the community
The Fairless Food Cupboard distributes food to those in need the 4th Thursday of the month from 10am to noon (3rd Thursdays in November and December due to the holidays). Brewster Friends and its members collect food for the cupboard and support it financially and with volunteers. Feel free to contact us if you need assistance or would like to help!
Brewster Friends is a proud member of the Fairless Clergy Association. In our world that is so divided, we celebrate to cross denominational lines with our brothers and sisters from Catholic, Methodist, Lutheran, Church of Christ, non-denominational, and other affiliations to celebrate what we share in common in Christ Jesus. We participate in annual lenten services where we worship together in churches throughout the Fairless area. We also work together as churches in this group to provide assistance to local food cupboards, offer food voucher programs, lunch assistance to school students, and many other types of assistance throughout the year.
Brewster Friends opens its doors to the village of Brewster for various meetings and town halls, the Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts for meetings and the Pinewood Derby, youth sports organizations for meetings and registration events, and other community groups and organizations in need of space. We welcome any group that is looking for a place to meet in Brewster or would love to partner with any group that is looking to impact the greater Fairless community. If you have an ongoing community outreach and are looking for partners or help, please call Pastor Vance at the Brewster Friends office at 330-767-6092 or e-mail him at bfc@sssnet.com
